Girls lacrosse game action supported by Kansas City officials

Get in touch and register

Use the registration form on this page to tell GPLOA about your experience, availability, and interest in boys or girls lacrosse assignments. The information helps the association direct you to the correct training and certification path. For questions about a requirement or an existing registration, email gploakc@gmail.com. The leadership team typically responds to training and certification inquiries within one business day.

GPLOA serves the greater Kansas City metro, including Kansas City, Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, Shawnee, Lee’s Summit, and nearby communities. Classroom and on-field locations can vary by program and season, so confirm the address and time listed for each scheduled session before traveling.

Your pathway to officiating

Complete beginners are welcome. Registration is the first step, followed by the appropriate USA Lacrosse membership update, background screening, online coursework, rules examinations, and in-person instruction. Experienced officials moving into the area should also register so GPLOA can review current credentials and explain any local expectations before assignments begin.

Meeting the published certification deadline is important for officials who want active spring game assignments. Do not wait until the last day to resolve a missing course, test result, membership status, or certificate. Submit information early, retain completion records, and contact the association when a requirement is unclear. GPLOA can explain the process, but every official remains responsible for completing the applicable steps.

What officials receive

Registered officials gain access to practical classroom and on-field training, experienced mentors, current mechanics guidance, and paid assignment opportunities. Schedules remain flexible because officials can communicate availability around school, employment, family, and other commitments. Continued support is available during the season when a rule, positioning question, or unusual game situation needs review.

Before submitting the form, review the training page for dates and equipment requirements. Include a reliable email address and phone number so GPLOA can follow up. If the embedded form does not load, email the association directly with your name, preferred program, officiating experience, and the best way to reach you.
